The phrase, ‘No plan ever survives contact with the enemy.’ is very true. Like all well-laid plans, there are some things Life throws your way that simply cannot be accounted for.
When we started this comic, we made sure we had the first eight weeks of strips done, in the hope that it would provide enough of a cushion to deal with any delays that would come our way. Well, a delay did come our way around week 3 or 4, and it only recently has been resolved.
Our beloved arteest, Mr. Mikey Mason had his van start on fire while driving between gigs. Thankfully, he escaped unscathed, but his computer and much of his performing gear did not. While five weeks might be enough to get back on your feet, sometimes insurance companies don’t see it that way, and the hashing out of details for Mikey took a bit longer than expected.
So, this means there will be a slight delay in the next page of this comic. How long? We truly can’t say, but since, as of this writing, all the details have been ironed our between Mikey and his insurer, it likely won’t be too long.
That does not mean we’re leaving you high and dry to roam the wastes on your own. Next Monday, you can expect some some fiction set in the Skies of Glass universe to fill this space until the comic can return full steam. Thanks for staying with us, and having patience.
